Islam is one of the most outstanding religions I have over known. I am a muslim and I have faced a lot through life, noticing that everyone has a wrong image about islam. Islam is a religion followed by a large amount of people throughout the world. Before Islam, God sent messenger to guide the people to the right path. Prophet Moussa was sent to lead and guide the people to obey the one and only God, and to save them from injustice of the pharaohs and the tyrants. Prophet Moussa came to them with the torah. After the death of the beloved Prophet, the non-believers began to twist and change the words of the prophet, and they would use the religion for their own selfish needs.
Then came Prophet Issa ( Jesus), when God sent Prophet Issa to refine the morals and cleansing the souls, and he built love between human beings, in the shadow of monotheism, to make people aware of the prophet coming after him,his name was Ahmad. Income group of non-believers in the new religion, and they began to twist and change his word. Just as they did in the religion of Prophet Moussa.Until it became under the influence of the non-believers, and they began ruling everything, especially the intellectuals. After the disappearance of Prophet Issa, there was injustice and corruption between the people. The people returned to worship statues/idols. And have come to believe in superstitions and myths, as if they were to escape from their painful reality.
After the days of injustice and corruption, the prophet was born. Their were various signs of him being the prophet, by the time he hit age of 40, god sent his angel and sent a message to him saying (a verse from the Quran) "Recite in the name of your Lord who created -Created man from a clinging substance.Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous -Who taught by the pen -Taught man that which he knew not {Quran, 96:1-5}."
The translation of this is:
1) Recite in the name of your Lord who created, Recite, bring recitation into existence, beginning with: In the Name of your Lord Who created, all creatures;
2)Created man from a clinging substance, created man (al-insān: the generic) from a blood-clot (‘alaq is the plural of ‘alaqa, which is a small quantity of congealing blood);
3)Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous -Recite: (reiterating the first one) and your Lord is the Most Generous, having no counterpart in terms of His generosity (wa-rabbuka’l-akram is a circumstantial qualifier referring to the subject [of the verb] iqra’, ‘recite’),
4)Who taught by the pen -Who taught, [the art of] script, by the pen — the first to write with it was [the prophet] Enoch (Idrīs), peace be upon him —
TODAY IS EID!!!!!
Eid is today and this is one of the biggest celebrations in Islam. Their are three Eids in Islam, they are: Eid al-adha, Eid al-ghadeer, Eid al-ftr. Each Eid has a special meaning to why we celebrate it. The Eid that we are celebrating today is Eid al-adha.
Eid al-adha is a 4 day religious celebration, that is celebrated for the honour of Prophet Abraham sacrificing his son Ismail as an act of submission to gods command, and his son accepted. Before this could happen, god prevented this event and switched the son with a ram to sacrifice instead.
This recitation is recited at Eid:
Allāhu akbar, Allāhu akbar الله أكبر الله أكبر lā ilāha illā Allāh لا إله إلا الله wa Allāhu akbar, Allāhu akbar والله أكبر الله أكبر wa li-illāhil-ḥamd ولله الحمد Alḥamdulillāh `alā mā hadānā, wa lahul-shukru `ala mā awlānā الحمد لله على ما هدانا و له الشكر على ما اولانا
- Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest,
- There is no deity but Allah
- and Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest
- and to Allah goes all praise, (We) sing the praises of Allah because He has shown us the Right Path. (We) gratefully thank Him because He takes care of us and looks after our interests.
